Since age six, Britney has been involved in the theatre world. Not only was she exposed to professional theatre as an audience member of Broadway tours, but she also performed in community theatre. However, it never dawned on her during her youth that she could pursue theatre as more than just a passion. She continued performing in local musicals, plays, and dance concerts. She also served as director, choreographer, costume designer, and props designer in the two-woman shows that she produced with her younger sister, also a performer. In college, when Britney had professional aspirations to join the fashion industry, she sought out the costume shop at her university's theatre department. After volunteering, taking theatre classes, and learning how to sew, Britney knew that theatrical costume designing was her future. She has been enjoying a professional career in theatrical costuming since, and has aspirations to continue her education in the field. Britney's professional experience has offered her jobs on both coasts of the US, as well as touring the country. She enjoys travel and continues to seek out job opportunities in various parts of the country, and even internationally. She spent two years working in New York City, and plans to return in the future for many more years of career success. Rather than being a 'jack of all trades, master of none", Britney prides herself on having a professional knowledge of almost all aspects of the industry, so that she can be a part of every step of the costuming process. This experience makes her a more dynamic designer, as well, which is her ultimate career aspiration.
